An HVAC gauge reads the pressure of various liquids and gases in an air conditioning system. It’s also crucial for reading vacuum pressure when pressure testing or charging a cooling system. This is the most important set of instruments for measuring if every device in the HVAC system works properly.

Dislikes (Received) 0. Notice on the flare nuts that are on the equipment from the factory are heavier than the ones that are on the linesets. They tell you to reflare both ends of the lineset and use the nuts that come with the equipment, or you may have leak problems. You can't fix stupid. 12-22-2008, 07:28 PM #7.

I brazed the new copper fittings. Staybrite 8 Silver-Bearing Solder . For brand new air conditioning 410a line sets Staybrite 8 silver Bearing Solder when done correctly can speed up the time of installing new line sets. At first, I found myself septical. Since I was taught only braze 410a line sets due to the higher pressure.

A line set is simply a pair of copper tubes that connects a condenser to an evaporator. In the case of a mini-split system, the line set connects the indoor and outdoor units together, where the outdoor unit (condenser) supplies the indoor unit (evaporator) with refrigerant. You'll notice in these sets that one line is larger than the other.

Elbow fittings allow you to change the direction of the HVAC ductwork, generally at a 90-degree angle. Almost all elbow fittings in ductwork are adjustable by way of moving parts in order for you to get the exact angle you need. Vent Pipe is sections of pipe in different lengths usually ranging from 12" to 60" in length.

The copper tubing and fittings used in air conditioning and refrigeration are designed and processed for HVACR and are often charged with nitrogen. The nitrogen keeps the tubing clean and dry preventing the onset of oxidation/corrosion. This type of tubing is used for hot and cold water supplies and the refrigerant lines found in HVAC systems.

Line set size is determined by the indoor unit, and longer line set runs will require adding refrigerant to the system. We offer two types of refrigeration line sets. Flared refrigerant line sets are used with mini-split systems and both the suction and liquid lines are insulated.

Basically, an HVAC pro removes contaminants from the line set three times using a vacuum pump. At PV, we actually do more than a standard triple evacuation. Still, the "triple evac" is a minimum standard. With a clean, properly sized, properly installed line set, your new system shouldn't have any problems with the refrigeration cycle.

hi, depending where you are located you can use STAY-BRITE soft solder and stay- clean flux for your AC condersing and evaporator coil. This is a silver content soft solder similiar to water piping solder but COSTLY. This flows just like 95/5 . Be careful not to fill joint too much and sea line shut. that small liquid line doesn't take much.

The diameter on the liquid line for standard residential systems is 3/8 inches in diameter. The suction line diameter is normally either 3/4, 7/8 or 1 1/8 inches, it depends on the size (and efficiency) of the air conditioning system or heat pump. Line sets come in multiple lengths and are designed to be cut...
What are Line Sets? Line sets are made up of two copper pipes that are semi-flexible. These lines connect the outdoor air conditioner or heat pump to the indoor evaporator coil. The smaller of the two pipes is called the liquid line. The larger pipe is known as the suction line, and includes insulation.
Given that a larger piece of aluminum in relation to brass will not cause noticeable corrosion, and brass fittings will withstand 400 psi, I regret not just using one on the low pressure side of the system. Titan Fittings make stainless compression fittings that
